Parting … but not forever

Let me hold your hand for just a little longer

Let me feel your warmth,

how our fingers lock so perfectly into each other

Let me look into your eyes, with our hands held

Whilst you look away with a grimace instead

But all my mind perceives, is a bright halo – around your head

Let me walk away with this joy locked in my heart

For this end, is needed for my brand new start

My prayers and love, I give to you, here with

    Interesting piece, a lot of emotion there.

    I saw grimace but missed abstain. Don’t know where abstain could go in a piece like this… I enjoyed the piece regardless.
